Well I'm at it again. Making resolutions I probably will not keep. This time however I have rules and I'm going to get my girlfriend Alysha to enforce them. I'm going to blog everyday Mon-Fri, in addition to the whole vlogging thing every other day. Anyways I'll get to my other resolution...
Alysha and I have decided that Monday is Music Monday. This means we have to choose 10 songs for each other to listen to. This week I've chosen the theme (yes I've decided to do creative themes) of SONGS THAT ALYSHA WOULD NEVER LISTEN TO, BUT SHOULD.
1. Paradise by the Dashboard Lights- Meat Loaf
This song is awesome. I don't know any other way to say it. Meat Loaf is kinda a one album wonder, but he made a great one album. This song, which features a baseball announcer segment (which makes sense!!!!), lasts 8 and a half minutes but amazingly carries my attention for that long.
2. Heart of Gold- Neil Young
I don't want this to be all old classic hits but I really like this song. It's a sterotypical Neil Young song to choose but it's that song for a reason. I could choose Cortez the Killer or something like that but really this is the song you need to listen to to get into Neil. It's listenable over and over again. No matter what the situation.
3. Darkness Darkness-Robert Plant
This song is proof to me that Robert Plant could do something meaningful outside of Led Zeppelin. Granted I listened to only the one song, but it was really really good.
4. There There- Radiohead
I listen to Radiohead in waves. I get hooked on different songs as I discover them. This one is just amazing. The drums, the lyrics, it's just different from most songs, in a really good way.
5. The Man Who Sold The World-Nirvana
My mother likes this, I like this. It's safe to say it covers a large demographic.
6.Dimension-Wolfmother
I need to be able to play this bass riff! And I can't even play guitar.
7.Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots Part 1-Flamings Lips
Weird...in an amazingly good way.
8. Jacqueline- Franz Ferdinand
Give it a minute.
9. City of Delusion-Muse
I must see this band in concert.
10. Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight/The End-The Beatles
This is how The Beatles should have gone out. With a medley and a rhyming couplet.
